Adoption Center/Cleaning Volunteering

Chores Volunteers help keep our adoption center clean, safe, and comfortable for both cats and people. This role is essential to the daily care of our cats and supports the entire rescue team.

Typical tasks include:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing litter boxes, food bowls, and water dishes
  • Refreshing food and water
  • Sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces
  • Laundry (blankets, towels, bedding)
  • Taking out trash and recycling
  • Restocking supplies
  • Light organization and tidying of cat areas

Time Commitment:

  • Daily Chores take approximately 1-2 hours to complete
  • Consistent weekly availability is preferred, but flexible schedules are welcome

Important to know:

  • This role involves physical activity (bending, lifting up to ~25-50 lbs, standing for periods of time)
  • Strong smells and messes are part of the job
  • Direct cat handling is minimal, but you will work around cats regularly

Training & Support:

  • Training is provided
  • No prior animal care experience required-just a willingness to help and follow safety guidelines
